ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
ACCESS curated by Kareem Black
The lens will often give access to an individual in a mode that no other medium can. The photography works to be included in the ACCESS exhibition will have a peculiar composition that incites a feeling of exclusivity and causes the viewer feel privy to the photographed subject matter. This exhibit will examine how we receive and perceive intimate moments and public occurrences.
ABOUT THE CURATOR
For the last 7 years Kareem Black has trotted the globe while Living behind the camera lens. In those years of his young career he has Photographed a wide array of clients that span the spectrum from super corporations like Verizon, Fed ex Cingular, Pepsi, and Vitamin Water to recording labels like J records, Sony and Warner brothers to Main stream Publications such as GQ, to Super innovative, ultra cool in the know publications like Missbehave. Before he was a Photographer Kareem Black was a painter who received a scholarship to New York's School of Visual Arts for painting. In 2007 Blacks most recent career turn has veered into the world of Directing and he is now working on his second short film. Entitled Twinja
